Good for her! With all of the crap she's had to put up with from fandom over the years, she deserves to be happy.

It seems like the Japanese seiyuu fanatics stop caring about actresses' "purity" once they pass a certain cutoff age. Probably around the mid-30s, if not before. With Hirano being 36, she's almost certainly on the other side, and the fanatics have moved on to younger, more active actresses.

For even more hilarity, his family name is Taniguchi (yes, the same 谷口) of all people, which adds up even more hilarity.

She's still pretty active, just not in the main roles - but considering she moved on to become a mostly stage actress for quite a while (including being part of Japanese Broadway musicals) and it's a demanding job, it's pretty hard to keep her scheduling with VA work and her current work at the same time.

I sure hope so for her sake, but it's still unfortunate for the younger talent. Sadly the industry isn't likely to see changes any time soon.

Just a heads up, Taniguchi's character in Kamen Rider Amazons is Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha. The show's whole gimmick is that there are more than one Kamen Rider Amazon. Also, there should be an "s" in Amazon in the byline.
