Shoujo, huh? I'm not really into shoujo, but I welcome anybody bringing over rare, old anime. I'd like to know what specific titles they have in mind.

My random guesses: World Masterpiece Theater: virtually no culture barrier, good to great stories, and suitable for all ages, including parents. Mahō Shōjo (Magical Girl) titles in the 70's and 80's: the golden age of magical girls since Megu-chan, especially those of Pierrot's (Mami, Persia, Emi, Yumi). Nostalgic to both female and male fans. Shōjo sports i.e. tennis and volleyball, such as Ace wo Nerae! and Attacker You! They have been fairly popular in Continental Europe for quite some time. Other contemporary popular titles e.g. those by Yumiko Igarashi, such as Candy Candy and Lady Georgie. Or maybe even something more dramatic like The Rose of Versailles or Glass no Kamen. |
