What did they just pitch shift Keegan? It does sound great and I can still tell it's him.

The scene in which Mario hands the coin back to the Toad and then adjusts his hat is so wholesome!

The whole Pratt thing aside, they've absolutely nailed the visuals. There were so many little background details and Easter eggs crammed into that scene alone, like the SMB3-style transit map. The coin block ATMs cracked me up. And the soundtrack is doing just what it should be.

If nothing else, I'll give them that they did a good job with the music and world aesthetics. Winced a bit at the self-referential 'the bricks just float there, huh?' but I suppose it's unavoidable.

Great new visuals and mix of the original OST here. The movie looks and sounds beautiful!

But back to the elephant in the room here: Chris Pratt. His voice here now sounds a little bit better? But, Illumination is still pussyfooting around. We need to hear Pratt's Mario speak a few more sentences IN CHARACTER to finally get a sound judgement call on whether he fits the role or not! To dance around this issue is honestly getting old!
