At this point I think they've used every form of motorized transport in a Detective Conan movie. We've had several on boats, a couple with planes, one on a blimp, the climax of Phantom of Baker Street was on a train, the climax of Countdown to Heaven involved a car, what else is there?

Isn't Tachikawa also directing the Blue Giant movie, which is supposed to come out in February? How is he managing both? Plus being the chief director for Mob III.

Yes, that's how movies work. I'm talking about the fact that there's such a small window between the two movies' releases means there was clearly some crunch in either of their productions.

Well Mob has been finished for months so he probably hasn't had to worry about that for a while

Yes, crunch is real but Conan films are annual and they know this and pre-production start at the latest 2 years ahead of time. After he finished 22 Zero the Enforcer, he would already be in discussion to direct the "next" one, which would be 26. 23 would be in post-production already. 24 would be well under way and 25 would be concluding its preliminary discussions.
Movie 30 is already being discussed despite being 4 years away.
So Tachibana should know well in advance that it is going to get REALLY busy and hopefully mitigate that a bit. Knowing Japanese work ethics, it will still be tough. It is expected that people pull crazy hours during this kind of time. Not good obviously, but that is how they think is the right way.

he's chief director on mob so shouldn't be affecting work on his other movies and maybe one of them were finished.
