OMG this is absolutely fantastic news! I love both the ARIA series and could watch an infinite number of series. Look forward to seeing the OVA in October thinking that was it, but now a 3rd series is greenlit, could well mean alot more!

Agreed, ARIA is a great way to wind down at the end of the day. Glad I don't have to suppress my cravings for my ARIA fix

I totally agree.
This is great news. I'm a huge fan of this series and I don't mind getting the merchandises from it. Like kureshii said, "ARIA is a great way to wind down at the end of the day." This piece of news made my day.

This is good, now I won't have to feel sad at leaving the ARIA world forever when I finish Aria the Natural. Well, I guess there's the OVA, but that's only a few episodes.
And this franchise continues to amaze, because it's getting at least 52 episodes (that's assuming this 3rd season is 13 episodes), despite not being a children's/family/all-ages anime, not being a shounen merchandising cash cow, and not getting a cent from the US licensee companies. Then again, it's probably an otaku merchandising cash cow.

I think it is an otaku merchandising cash cow. It seems like there's a lot of Aria stuff out there, but I'm not 100% sure if that's the sole reason or not, but I'm sure it's at least doing well in some merchandising areas.
I think it's great though. I'm always left just a little emptier not having more Aria to look forward to. I don't care about how long a show goes on so long as I enjoy it, and I'm far from tired of Aria.

Aww, I love ARIA so much. "The Origination"? I can't wait to see this one and continue exploring the Aria universe. I agree with Zalis116 about the length of the series considering that it's not that huge of a show, at least over here. Apparently, it's a popular franchise in Japan. Eh, works for me.

I always wonder what the daily lives of some of the male characters are like, but we barely get to see it. Not so much Woody, but I really want to see what Akatsuki and especially Al do all day, without trivializing it. Sure, they're doing their best to keep this from becoming a true Sci-Fi in any way (which is a GOOD thing in this case), but it wouldn't hurt to elaborate on them. Sometimes shows undercut potentially valuable side characters due to expectations of certain viewers, and that tends to weaken them.
Then again, ARIA is such a huge conspiracy anyway, just pay attention to all the Cats.
On another note; We've got Undines (Gondoliers), Gnomes (Gravity Regulators), Salamanders (Atmospheric Control), and Sylphs (Parcel Transport). Water, Earth, Fire and Air, the basic Four Elementals. That covers Paracelsus. I kinda wouldn't mind seeing some additional elements too, probably because I'm a Secret of Mana whore. You know, Lumina, Shade, Luna, Dryad. I keep hoping that's what they'll call their Professors/Instructors, Police Enforcement, Central Energy Providers, and Biological Terraforming Department.

Yes. Yes yes yes. Did I mention [size=24]YES[/24]?!
I hope there's even more amazing music by Choro Club ft. Senoo and Makino Yui.
Here's to hoping the animation quality is more like The ANIMATION and less like The NATURAL. Or better yet, make the art even MORE like the manga. Which is gorgeous.

Heh, I was thinking of Secret of Mana on that too.
I only recently got to seeing Aria, but I've really been enjoying it, so it's nice to see that there is more. I love almost everything Junichi Sato has done (my top two anime are Magic User's Club and Princess Tutu, and many other series he were involved in are also high favorites). Aria is one that I really hope gets an R1 license, even though the chance of it may not be great...
