They are very similar thematically and of similar writing quality in my opinion. I prefer Touch because I watched it first, but Mix is a great intoduction to Adachi stuff. |

Now that is good news! Mix was the series that introduced me to the world of Adachi, but watched quite a bit of it since, and consider Cross Game to be my all time favorite anime.
As for the comparison between Mix and Touch, after watching the latter I re-wachted Mix. It was fun to see the references I missed the first time, but it also made clear the first season wasn't really going anywhere yet. Still an enjoyable watch, but so far it lacks the impact both Touch and Cross Game had. But hopefully this is where the 2nd season comes in. I at least expect to see a few familiar faces from Touch again... Now if only some more Adachi manga would be published in English. Or Dutch. Or German. But unfortunately most of it is only in languages I don't understand.... |

Great news! I love Adachi's manga and Mix is among one of the best imho, so I'll also watch its anime eventually (especially now that a second season has been announced)!
