This is an interesting development, I'm sure that by the time the construction is finished the Switch's successor will have aready come out, but with this new development office more titles can be developed for the new console, espcially since Nintendo relies more on 1st Party tiles than any other console manufacturer.
Some people complained, albeit jokingly, that the building looks very bland and that it's looks exactly like Nintendo's other offices, people were suggesting that they should paint it yellow to resemble a Question Block from Super Mario Bros. or purple like a GameCube. I think Nintendo, despite their reputation as a company dedicated to family fun, still want to maintain a serious corporate image, that and probably they don't want to stand out in Kyoto's landscape, not every tech company has to be like Google with their colorful offices. |
