I hope Funimation picks it up, they did talk about it on their official blog after all.

They did talk about it, but I have a certain feeling Crunchyroll will be the one to pick it up.

My gut feeling say Netflix will swoop in to grab it. But maybe I just feel that way because they nabbed Shaman King.

I hope this is more faithful than the original anime. I really enjoyed the manga.

I might have to see another trailer but everybody mostly looks like what I remember from the manga. It might be personal but I hope they don't gimp on the CQC. I remember it being fairly solid in the original show.

Fingers are still crossed, hoping that this spate of old anime revivals leads to a remake of Chibi Vampire Karin.

I'm interested! I've gotten into a lot of shoujo magical girl stuff lately, and I'll probably love this too.

Not to mention the new Netflix dub of Shaman King brought back the now-legendary Andrew Rannells of Book of Mormon fame. It was kinda surprising given how prominent Rannells has become as an actor, but it was awesome to see him return to his anime dubbing roots.

I am very disappointed in this 'prejudice against huge eyes' that even MODERN shoujo is adopting. (Fruits Basket did the same thing here) Crying or Very sad I loved the early 2000s style...and Pretty Cure still uses this aesthetic quite well so what gives?

With the smaller eyes and bigger faces, the characters look way older than they are supposed to be. This kind of thing bothers me a lot; sucks the 'cuteness' right out of it.

One interesting thing about the trailer is that it looks like the new anime won’t be following the manga in at least one major way: it looks like Mint becomes a Mew Mew before the others. I’m definitely very curious to see what else might change. I love the manga but I’m not against new things being tried.

Tokyo Mew Mew is one of my favorite magical girl shows and I really enjoyed it back in the early 2000s. I'm so excited it's getting a reboot. I somehow didn't realize the Sailor Moon Crystal composer was working on this unless it was just announced but you instantly recognize his style in the trailer. I'm also hoping Funimation will get it. While Crunchyroll would be better than Netflix, I feel like Crunchyroll would almost be a guarantee that the new series will never be dubbed or released on BD. Even though it's a new cast, I have to say Ichigo's new seiyuu does a remarkable job sounding a lot like the original voice.

Out of curiosity, did TMM not have a complete/faithful adaption? I was under the impression it did (sequels aside) so it's interesting to me that this is getting a reboot.
