All I have to say is:

NO. WAY. Shocked

That's ridiculously awesome! (in a strange, unsettling sort of way)
My favourite singer meets anime... never thought it would happen, least of all with something kid-centric like Pokemon.

Aside from it being Pokemon, it's great to finally hear something new from her, it's been a few years.

Anyway, yay! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

It's not like this is the TV anime. It's the movies, which always have a good animation bugdet and keep pumping out (movie 6 excluded) good plotlines and action. I haven't seen many I didn't like. Not to mention that everyone's expecting great movie, since it features the pictured legendaries from D/P. Plus it's the tenth.

I expect nothing less than awesome from this movie, and a highly renowned singer is only going to help that.

True, although I've missed most of the series since "Advanced", the movies still keep me coming for more and keep me interested.

Yup, the movies are so awesome! And good thing is that you don't need to watch all of the episodes to watch a PokeMovie. Anime hyper

Well, Pokemon is a big business in Japan. I would think it'd be considered an honor to sing for a big-time franchise, especially if it's for the kids. Although some might balk at the comparison, but I see it as something sort of like getting well-known actors to voice in the Studio Ghibli dubs.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but....

She recorded the song "Be With You: Itsumo Soba ni" (Always By Your Side) for her next album, due this fall or later.

If that's really the case, it's not like she's really "wasting" her talent on Pokemon, since she didn't actually record the song originally for the movie. That being the case, it just means a little more money for the song to appear in the movie. Smile

This is actually kind of nice~ I've liked Sarah's music for quite a long time already, and now she's working with a series that I'm sure a lot of us watched religiously a long time ago haha. Not to mention it's a remake of a song that I absolutely LOVE. >w<

Was there any mention of the singer who's singing with her? Confused

The man is apparently Chris Thompson, who might be remembered for singing "How Can Heaven Love Me" with Sarah circa 1995.

It's a huge honor to be selected for something like that. Pocket Monsters is a very respectable anime in japan and I doubt you've seen one Japanese episode. Also, movie 6 was my favorite, I can't believe someone called it plot less Anime cry
The movies are breathtaking, and this song matches the 10th year perfectly, so shut up. Anime hyper
