Damn. Its unfortunately Chihara decided to stop singing. I love her songs. Speaking of songs.... I assume she'll still sing Miku's songs in the Date A Live series since that is part of the voice acting role. lol

Her songs while the Haruhi movie credits are rolling and Violet Evergarden's ending theme never fail to choke me up.
I'm glad she's sticking with voice acting, and I hope she finds what she's looking for.

It's been a good ride with all the songs and live shows, and good to quit while still enjoying the experience.

I enjoy her music, but if she feels like she needs to stop, then all power to her. I'm happy to just hear she's going to continue to voice act (especially with a new DAL season coming out).

She never said she’s ending her career. She said 休止, which means put on hold.
Wording it this way makes it sound like it’s impossible she’ll ever come back to music.

Do you prefer "indefinite hiatus"? Because it's probably more responsible to say to her fans that it ended when she makes no plan or any note about resuming her career. Reading between the lines I think this is the more concise inference. More like, she phrased it in this way in Japanese because she does not want to preclude the possibility of a return, but essentially she's hanging it up.
In this day and age people who hung it up returns to the biz all the time anyways.
