It's looking so good!! Though I'm shocked they're showing Lyserg and Joco -- this feels like the kind of OP we wouldn't get until the second half of the series. I guess they're kinda like "we know you know what you're here for, we know you know all these characters, here you go". I just hope it doesn't mean they're going to try and condense some things but BOY I'm so excited!!!

I have hope that this won't be rushed. It will air during prime time on TV Tokyo and Bridge has already done long running series in the past, so hopefully Kodansha does this franchise justice.

The song is just okay. It doesn't hit like how Over Soul does. That song was and still is a banger. They better play Over Soul and Northern Lights as insert songs.

This opening obviously has a lot of callbacks to the original OPs. I do like the song and the visuals, but I do feel that they don't go together as well as the original OPs.
I'm also laughing at how they just not care about spoiling about some things. Showing characters super early is nothing new. The first original opening also showed Lyserg and Hao. But they really aren't as subtle anymore. I think they also wanted to show manga readers that they will really adapt everything. Like showing even Gandhara for a short time. I am worried about them rushing the beginning too much. But all I can do is hope everything will go well. Just keep the soul of Shaman King and everything will be alright. |

So, glad they redesign Joco, I find it odd that all the Black characters have those lips beside Opacho (in the Manga).
Anyway, I like the song but the animation is way too busy for me |

Dude! I am in the same boat! I absolutely loved the English Opening of the Show back when it first aired for the word! I still go back and listen to it all the time because it was just so good!!! |

Cool to hear a new opening by Megumi Hayashibara like the one she did for the original series, the song is pretty catchy too but the animation itself is kind of simple in my opinion, I wish they could've done an HD remake of Oversoul, that original opening was awesome (the spanish version is pretty cathcy as well) and it went well with the visuals. This opening feels like it gives too much away about the story

It's a terrible sign, as adapting 6 chapter per episode is way too much. Why couldn't it at least get as many episodes as the original got ? Would an additional 13 have been that much to ask for ? |
