Oh man oh man I'm so excited. I rewatched all of Free during my stay home period and I'm happy to hear a time frame for the new movie! Now if only Yume would get licensed!

Well thanks to the virus they will be able to keep their original plans to air the movie around the Olympics!

Can't wait for the film I'm glad KyoAni is back they are one of my favorite Japanese studios and their works moved me so much especially Clannad

Now I do wonder how Rin will sound in the English version since you know who is no longer working for Funi. I just hope its not a too drastic a voice change.

He's been replaced by Austin Tindle and you can hear him in the OVA for the third season. It is streaming on funi

More Free content just makes the world a little better. Can't wait for 2021 Very Happy

About the English VA for Rin, according to Wikipedia, Austin Tindle stepped in for the S3 OVA that was dubbed after S3, so it's a safe bet he'll be reprising the role whenever the movie gets released in the West. I mainly watch Free in Japanese, so I can't speak for the performances (only watched 1 ep in English and wasn't a fan), but hopefully that answers the question for dub fans.

I'm really looking forward to this, glad we've got confirmation of a date for next year. Being an Olympic year will be even better.

I think Austin did a good job in the OVA but I do admit I will miss the original VA choice for this role.
