I'm a little disappointed by the episode count and release format, but on the same front, seeing the core voice cast coming back is actually really exciting. Hopefully this'll be good. Things are looking good, given everything else, but as I said, episode count and every-other-week format has me being a bit hesitant.

I haven't seen any of this anime, but it is always nice to hear that classic seiyu are reprising their roles.

I don't recall the episode LENGTH being mentioned, so maybe, JUST maybe, each may actually be movie-long so as to be an equivalent of a 2-cour anime. But this is just me grasping at straws.

I am also suspecting that they are able to snag the original cast because it was meant to be short and won't take up much of the veteran actors' time or strain them too much. I mean, I watched their live stream and am a bit concerned that Wataru and Toraoh's VAs can't readily do hot blooded screams as before.

It's always interesting that as the Wataru franchise, aside from being a toy line backed by an extensive ad campaign, is that said ad campaign is meant to be a multi media endeavor, and so they would always seem to aim for the popular media of the time. If back then, the platforms would be broadcast TV, direct to (physical) video and radio dramas; for this contemporary sequel, they have chosen online streaming and LN. The only thing that is a constant would be the toys, obviously.
