if I recall right the 36th victim hasn't been publicly identified. The person who passed a few months later. |

In what world is Weathering With You an "indie" movie?

Anime movies, are generally still indie league in the US do to their low theatrical budgets. They may be big blockbusters in Japan but if only US major cities like LA and NY predominantly show them, the people in charge of nominations delegate the movies to indie |

It's nice that they were given a short 30 seconds but my goodness, could there not have been slightly more effort in actually displaying the artists' work?
And it was wonderful to hear Maruyama's speech regarding Kon and I'm glad that he was at least given the dignity of having the diversity of his works being shown. |

No one else in the "In Memoriam" had their work shown. Why should they? |

Huh? Are you arguing that they shouldn't have shown anything at all in terms of animation from Kyoto Animation? That's bizarrely callous and rude, wow. |

What are you talking about? Kyoto Animation had a whole slide and an animated clip for their memorial, which is more than everyone else who was just a name in a crawl. Unless you mean that the Annies should've listed their job descriptions, then sorry, I misunderstood. |

Damn, I still cannot believe Nishiya is gone. His moe designs touched my heart. Even his boys were endearing. I’m hoping beyond hopes that they’ll get back on their feet. But I doubt anyone can ever out moe Nishiya.
