Well, the uncut version has alot of nudity/fanservice shots, maybe that's an issue for Geneon. It's definitely not something Bandai would bring over imo.

Geneon released Girls Bravo so nudity/fanservice isn't an issue for them, lol

I have many of ADV's anime and no they don't edit there anime on the Anime Network they do censor there anime with black bars as for Air Gear there censors were alittle bit dumb.. instead of black bars they had these dumb brids covering up there girls breasts and butts

Same; it's strange that Geneon would pass up this title, not to mention FUNimation, since Air Gear is a Del Rey manga and they've had a trend of licensing stuff to compliment Del Rey releases (due to the lack of any formal synergy). I'm not a fan of Oh Great! material, but Air Gear was alright and ADV would likely do a decent job with it.

HOWEVER, I am concerned with the implications of this title; if ADV nabbed Air Gear, they could easily snatch Higurashi as well. Of all the shows I'd like to see dubbed, it's Higurashi, but there are so many negatives in that show (namely, the artwork) it isn't worth buying unless there's a superb dub to carry the confusing storyline. I wouldn't mind forking over a little more money for a Higgy dub from another company, so I'm hoping ADV has no sights on Higgy.

ADV over Viz, though. Better a weak dub than a sour one. >.>;

If Geneon passed Air Gear up, I assume that TenTen didn't really do as well as expected in sales. It's not really a series which appeals to chicks. But Air Gear might catch on with the Eureka 7 crowd.

I dunno - for TV censorship, I thought it was pretty damn funny. Funny enough that I'd almost prefer to have the "crow" option in there. I'm not the only one who thought it was amusing, but maybe we're a minority. Still, nice to see that it'll be the home video version, and we get those naughty bits. Wink

Other than the whole "2 Episodes per DVD" release of Gantz, and the "Americanized" dub of Super Milk Chan, and excluding TV showings, nope.

Am I the only one who doesn't see any connection between those two titles...? Rolling Eyes

Beyond the fact that both had censored TV broadcasts, no, you're not. A fun little ecchi skating...something by the creator of Tenjou Tenge and a graphic suspense horror with very strong writing, though marred by painfully bad animation. Yeah...yeah, I got nothing there.

I've watched alot of it.. and it gives me the feel more like Angleic layer and something else. He's a weak kid but he builds up fighting the uber dudes some sort of over confidence. But i dread the voice actors lol, I'll be collecting it but i'll have so much ADV stuff.

No, you're not.

I also don't see why the Eureka 7 crowd would like Air Gear. Eureka seveN is a fantastic anime, whereas Air Gear is a mediocre one at best. While I'm not surprised it got licensed, I AM surprised it got licensed before a far awesomer show like Innocent Venus.
