I was actually expecting someone to point that out lol.

I mean tbh they did ruin the character designs in youjo senki, but I got used to them and now like them (of course not as much as the light novel).... but this one is different. its just wrong. Like it doesn't fit the story.

Eh. The Character designs are pretty similar to the light novel/manga.

The production values look like garbage though.

the designs are not so much the problem (also the girl was already big head in the illustrations) but the production that already indicates that it is low budget of any studio is noted by the trailer that is supposed to show the best animated parts, but they feel lacking strong visual resources, well I hope it stands out for the content that is the reason that it is good

Honestly, I'm just pleased that this is going to exist at all -- it's not remotely one I would've expected. But I've rarely seen an isekai webnovel nail the storytelling principle of "someone wants something badly and is having a hard time getting it" so well -- certainly not without the mean-spiritedness of something like Shield Hero. In this case, it means Maine has a loving family and friends, but the deck is stacked against her in so many other ways that her goal seems almost impossible. (And who among us can't relate to wanting to surround yourself with a hundred thousand books for the rest of your life? Don't answer that.)

NICE the protagonist is a loli just like I like a pretty girl the center of attention of the story and not only be the companion of the horrible and antipatico protagonist as in the hero that makes him bullying.
