The Lupin III Renaissance continues! First, it was The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, then Jigen's Gravestone, Part IV, Blood Spray of Goemon, Part V, and now this.
It's a great time to be a Lupin fan. They're putting out a lot of high quality work. It's pretty exciting.

A shame that no one has licensed the Goemon movie yet.

Most excellent. I'm loving that Koike is still getting work in any capacity. The fact that it's a franchise I love and his adaptations have literally been the best the franchise has ever been just makes it all the better.

Correction: Takeshi Koike did character designs for The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, but did not direct it. Sayo Yamamoto was the series director.

He did some animation directing for it, though, and even some key animation.

Very nice to see another Koike directed film coming. Folks at Discotek, please license Blood Spray of Goemon ASAP. A re-license of The Woman Called Fujiko Mine would be cool too since Funi doesn't have it anymore.

And we still have a theatrical movie coming out in 2020, the good news keeps coming.
I'm excited to see how Koike will handle a Fujiko focused movie. But, I'm more excited that we are probably going to get a Zenigata movie after this one.

I hope they release some of the newer Lupin stuff soon as well, but TMS has been putting some Lupin stuff on Amazon/Itunes so I think its more likely we will see this Fujiko movie on there first before a home video release.

Yeah two movies and a tv special as well. Feels so good after the string of sub par specials a couple of years back.

This article just reminded me that we don't have a release for Bloodspray of Goemon. I wondered if Jigen's Gravestone didn't live up to sales expectations, but then again, Discotek is still steadily releasing Lupin III all the time, so it must do kinda well for them...

I wasn't expecting Fujiko to get a movie because she'd already gotten a whole TV series for herself, but I'm always up for some more Lupin by Koike.

Excited for another Fujiko-centric Lupin project.

I imagine she's too busy working on the Yuri on Ice movie. But I do wish she (and/or Mari Okada) could have come back for this.
