I guess the new region is based on UK during the Industrial Revolution? It gives me steam punk vibes (which I like), but I fear it will be another linear game like Sun/Moon... I hope there will be less hand-holding at least.
(I like the water starter the most. ^^ )

Gym battles are back thats all that matters. The intense revamped gym theme songs are what I live and breathe by playing Pokemon in this day and agee

It looks more like European architecture then Canadian.
I wish they released there games on PC because I've been wanting this version of Pokemon for decades. I don't want a switch because it would just be sitting there doing nothing when I'm done with the game.

It would've been great if Pokemon gets an PC release, but due to Nintendo being an developer of console, as well PC microsoft being owned by Xbox, i don't think they'll ever get an PC release at all.

Usually pick water type, yet Scorbunny has my attention too lol Guess it's time to invest in a Switch.

I'm not really feeling any of the three starters, so hopefully their evolved forms look good...and that Scorbunny doesn't evolve into another Fire/Fighting type.

Always picked fire since Gen2 and DAMN WHY IS SCORBUNNY SO BAD.
Absolutely love Sobble and I'll probably go with them unless their final evo isn't too my taste (I was sure in my choice for Rowlet but hated his evo and loved Incineroar for Tiger the Dark vibes).

I can't wait for these games! Every time a new Pokémon game is announced, the world just stops. Even those who don't like Pokémon want to know what's going on, because it has that huge of an impact. Others games that got their influences from this series may have tried to dethrone it (no disrespect to the Yo-kai Watch franchise and its dedicated fanbase), but they just can't match how wildly popular it is worldwide.

I hope Sobble just gets more and more cartoony sad with each evolution. He's my favorite.
Personally, I'm hyped for the game. It looks great and I love that they put the camera closer to the ground in many scenes of the trailer and really make it look bigger scale that way.
I don't think it's gonna revolutionize anything but that's not really what I need. I do hope they'll allow the core games to grow a bit with its audience and just have the Let's Go games focus on the younger, newer or more casual fans. I doubt it though. I think it's still gonna be pretty easy and hand-holdy unfortunately. I'll happily be proven wrong about that though.
The starters aren't the most inspired looking so far and they'll take some getting used to. There was a fake leak some time ago that had their own fire bunny and grass monkey (as well as a platypus for the water starter) and I honestly preferred those. If I had seen these starters and logos in a leak, I honestly would've thought they're fake.
I wonder if the bunny is gonna be another Fire/Fighting type or, which I would prefer, maybe go with the whole jumping and running fast theme and maybe become something like a Fire/Flying type. Maybe the ears grow big enough to be used like wings.
One thing I'm glad about is the character designs. I was disappointed in Let's Go in that department but what we saw in this one looked closer to Sun&Moon designs so h*cc yeah the female trainers are cute again!
What I'm disappointed with is the fact that your Pokemon don't seem to follow you around anymore. I loved that about Let's Go and I just don't get why Game Freak always goes back on that decision since Yellow and the Gen 2 remakes. It's a pretty universally loved feature and especially in Let's Go it was great since it actually showed the real size of your Pokemon and even let you ride the ones that were big enough to carry you.
People are also disappointed that you don't see wild Pokemon roaming the overworld again and while at first I was slightly bummed about that too, I do get that decision from a Gameplay perspective but ESPECIALLY from a technical one. With the camera being closer to the ground and the game showing more distant things, it wouldn't make much sense to have Pokemon only appear in a short radius. But if they have them spawn far away it'd probably lead to some massive framerate dips. Especially since Game Freak isn't the best at optimizing their games since even Let's Go had some frame dips despite the camera angle and super simple world geometry. So I doubt having wild Pokemon roam the world would've worked smoothly and I'd rather have it like this than be janky.
Now all I'm hoping for is some challenging stuff later in the game (or maybe even a difficulty setting and/or special challenges like native Nuzlockes), no HMs, some surprises, a decent story and online stuff that doesn't utterly suck.

During Grookey's intro I was just like "Oh no, please not a leaf monkey", but then they showed the front of it and I'm confused because from the front it is super cute????
Of course the evolutions will make or break all of this for me, if I don't like the end results on any I'll pick Grookey and just never evolve it.
Hmm... huuuuh... I didn't play the video with sound, so I dunno what was talked about, but like... will this have Pokemon Go compatibility like Let's Go did? Will you be able to take a Pokemon on a stroll with the Pokeball Plus like in Let's Go? So many questions. I'm just like fearful of a core series title where I can't move over my Pokemon from older generations... *stares at Pokemon Bank app on 3DS* all my work...
Oh, and the female character is adorbs. So happy.

Going by it's name, Sarunori might evolve into either a samurai or a sumo wrestler gorilla. Perhaps a samurai given it was shown using a stick in the trailer similar to a bokken.
