Actually, how can this movie bomb? It'll print up a nice sum of money in the end. Yay!

I’m surprised they’re betting on a sequel when the movie isn’t even out yet.

...Though to be fair I’m one of many who are going to see it the day it premiers so I guess it’s already guaranteed to make bank

Aw geez, compared to the resumes of those writing the first film, that's a drop in quality right there (I mean, IIRC 22 Jump Street is supposed to be good, but Cloverfield 3 was bad).

On a sidenote since it was just mentioned in this article: Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch was planned for the script but never got eventually involved due to other projects. He stated himself that he didn't write a single page of it.

Hope it does well to honor it. Think the first one would do at least average.

Who's bright idea was it to get the guy directing the live action Sonic movie to do the sequel?

Thanks very much for pointing that out. I've corrected this article and will correct our older articles as well.

It's Warner/Legendary. I'm NOT surprised. Rolling Eyes

(As studio policy, they no longer believe in making one movie at a time anymore, and with every new franchise, they offer another new lesson as to why "Never greenlight a sequel on Monday morning or Thursday afternoon.")

"But he knows HOW!"

Yes. That was their bright idea.
