While the Japanese exclusivity bothers me, the fact that my PSP can play the games either way makes me smile. I just won't know whats going on most of the time.
1,000 Mobile Suits?
Thats reason enough for this game to release World Wide. I'll buy it either way, but still, A world wide release would be awesome.
I wonder if the PSP game will have wireless battles and what not?
That would be a even bigger incentive to buy it. Everyone has their favorite MS, lets see who can win in the biggest ever online throwdown.

You should've titled the article differently, because it sounds like you're saying that Sony now owns some of the anime.

Although, as much as I'd like more Gundam games on PSP... a G Gen game? Not as much.
I mean, I own Gundam Battle Tactics, and I can pretty much figure everything out without knowing how to read any Japanese. But then, it is just a simple action game, with very little actual "plot".
G Generation however, being strategy/RPG games ( much like the SRW series)... without the help of a Strategy guide on some missions ( with specific goals, other than "wipe out enemy units"), they are nearly impossible to beat.
I played through the GBA G Gen game that was released ( most recent one I played anyway), and I was able to make it through and beat it eventually, but I would have been stuck on mission 3 ( the first mission with the original Gundam series characters) if it wasn't for a strategy guide. I think I failed the objective like 7 times before checking the strategy guide, and finding out how simple it actually was.
Doesn't mean however, that I won't be picking it up. Considering I still play through any SRW game I can get my hands on, this won't be too much of a change. I just hope some know what the game actually is, before they get too excited.
*edit*
The scans of the article show us some very impressive screenshots of the maps and of some of the 3-D SD Gundams that appear.
Enough drool factor in order to buy it? Possibly
If no one else has posted them by the time I get home from work, I will.
