w00t! Can't wait for it!
I'm so glad they finally got FMA, the Gundam Seed reruns were killing me, and the Friday night block was laking in new shows and episodes as well.
Hope other Canadians can enjoy this great show!

This is indeed good news. There acutally is a small though very slim chance that I'll watch it. But most likely I'll rent the DVDs from Rogers....

It's not just "isn't bad news at all," this is great news to Canadian anime fans!
It was simply put, God's gift to Canadaian anime fans.
I for one, can't wait!

personally, i'm starting to hate YTV. Mostly because they're going to be dubbing it and totally ruin the series >,< cause they want "kids" to be able to understand the story line. Just my opinion =/

YTV isn't dubbing FMA
I am looking forward to this, though - it'll be nice to go through the series again.

Lucky for you that FMA has one of the best dubs of the year.
Unless you cra~zy Canadians decide to dub it again.

Why does everyone think WE Canadians will Re-Dub everything.
Ytv doesn't do the dubbing by the way, but sometimes they choose to licence different versions of dubs (i.e. Dragonball). But I haven't seen them do that recently, but I can't confirm that this is the FUNImation dub @ all.

YTV hasn't redubbed anything. If you're going to bring up the other dub or Dragonball Z, guess what, that was done by Ocean and it used the SAME script as Funimation's. Dragonball GT? That was done by Blue Water, which I thought was better than Funimation's. The original Dragonball? That too was done by Blue Water, which I too thought was better than Funimation's. YTV has never dubbed anime. The ruining of series is done by the companies and some of them have done decent jobs, minus 4Kids.

I saw Fullmetail Alchemist at my anime club and it just left me cold (shounen action just isn't my bag), but this bodes well for those of us hoping other Funi properties will hit the big Y (namely Fruits Basket and maybe Kodocha... and Sasami Mahou Shoujo Club, should Funi ever license that).

This is a series I've always wanted to see more of (I've seen about 10 episodes, I think). Shounen's not really my thing either, but FMA has enough other stuff to keep my interested (I'm all about characters and development and all the fun stuff).
It's always nice to see Canadian networks pick up things, because I'm always so jealous of those who get Cartoon Network and all that lovely stuff.

But didn't you only see the later episodes? I would recommend catching the earlier ones, at least until episode 7. But yeah, it looks like we finally have grounding for a proper "Get Fruits Basket on YTV" campaign.

Eh, I already know all of the major spoilers now, and, while FMA seemed like a very well-done show for what it is, I just lack the interest to bother seeing the first half of the series.
Though, I suppose whether or not I tune in once or twice depends on what Teletoon has up against it. If it's a Family Guy or Futurama re-run that I've already seen a million times, maybe. If it's up against an "Adult Swim Original"... eh, not a chance. Of course, that's assuming the only choices I'd bother with are YTV or Teletoon, which is unlikely.

Cool, Thanks.
Does this mean Ytv could potentially get some other FUNimation shows?
Anyways I can't wait, lol if this series is cool since I never saw it before, I'll probably go buy the first set of Dvds, as I plan to do with Naruto.
