Another Bones anime project, nice.
Looking forward to this one next year especially with director Shinichiro Watanabe. Last edited by Stark700 on Thu Mar 08, 2018 7:57 am; edited 1 time in total |

Hopefully Amazon doesn't get the rights to this Ultra + time slot.

Decent looking lolita fashion in an anime? Rare. (Anna from K, that one girl in Paradise Kiss... not much more)

While the gender of the sitting character is yet to be revealed, do you think it is a boy or girl? What's unique is that the sitting character appears to be Black or Person of Color. So, I am guessing this might be a non-Asian setting (this is present in some prev. Shinichiro-directed shows).

I think I'll be watching this for Kubonouchi's character designs. I love his manga.

Bones is literally the greatest studio out there right now. Minami you smug bastard.
Cut the rest of these guys some slack. Seriously though, holy crap, anime is good right now. |

Deliberately announcing a show about Tuesday on a Thursday? Watanabe, you old rogue, you!

Watanabes work hasn't been to great lately and the studio isn't to good but I'll watch it for the character designers.

It's going to be set in a place inspired by Melbourne, Australia. He confirmed this at an Australian anime con: https://www.madman.com.au/news/shinichiro-watanabe-developing-new-anime-project-with-studio-bones/ |

Not sure if this is an attempt at trolling or not, but I'm genuinely curious why you don't think Bones is a good studio? |

The hairband she's(look at the chest) wearing looks like that of Rastafarian origin, so my prime assumption is she's African or Afro-Latino. Pretty neat since the gist of the Rastafarian movement is rallying people of color, specifically those of deep African ancestry, together to return to motherland, better known as Africa, for peace and prosperity for all black people. With that in mind, perhaps this could mean that we'll witness an uncanny union between two people of differing background and ideals, coming together to create music that will bring a "miracle" to themselves and maybe those around them. Buuuut that's just a theory based on a single component of Tuesday's design, assuming Watanabe-sensei actually looks deeper into the Rastafarian movement as a source to rounding out the theme(s) of the story. Carol clearly looks to be affluent, based on her design, so there's also that. |

Getting a little tired of the "so close it's almost yuri" friendship in anime, honestly. Especially if that's the focus of the show, I'm not so sure I'll enjoy this. I'm right now imagining some badly written big friendship love moments that'll just make me roll my eyes. Hoping this'll be a little more interesting than just some friendship coming of age drama.

I'm just going by the fact that I haven't cared for any thing they've done that I've seen since the mid 00's. I'll admit that I haven't watched everything though. I wasn't aware that it was such a crime to not think their great. On an unrelated note I did see Watanabes recent Blade Runner short and liked it. |

That's so cool! Is there a full transcript of Watanabe's interview at the convention somewhere? Watanabe joked that his only image of Australia was Mad Max before visiting there himself, and said that the series will take place in a city based on Melbourne in "the near future" which raises the question: will this be anime Mad Max? The image certainly doesn't make it seem that way, but you never know. I'm excited that it's about music, because the music in Watanabe's shows is usually a highlight. I wonder if he'll get Yoko Kanno to work on this. That'll be a dream! |
