The manga will likely cover up to Vol 4 of the source LN (The anime only covered the 1st 3 volumes).
Story-wise, Vol 4 is a prelude introducing most of the villains participating in the 7-Star Sword Festival, covered in Vols 5-9.

Vols 10-present is an ongoing arc, also battle-competition themed. The stakes are much higher here, and introduces worldbuilding which will undoubtedly factor into any future arc the author chooses to go on.

spoiler[Rakudai's world has 2 main power blocs, the Union (USA, China, Russia, etc.) and the League (Japan, UK, etc.). Although both sides have been at odds for a long time, the activities of global criminal organisation Rebellion has successfully distracted both blocs from waging full-on war against each other (It's hinted Rebellion's higher purpose was to make such distractions to ensure world peace).]

I'm sad about this. Since more anime is pretty unlikely, this manga was the only way to get a visual representation of the events beyond volume 3 of the novels, and while I have a couple nitpicks about the character designs for it, it was still an enjoyable read. Oh well.

Also, on a sidenote, I really wish all the official descriptions of the series would stop focusing on the "the loser must be obedient for life" thing. That's really not what it's about at all. Ikki isn't interested in enforcing the deal because it's creepy and Stella just uses it as an excuse to be close to him before they actually enter a relationship, so... it's relevant for about one volume? Four episodes?

EDIT: Um, the loser must be obedient, obviously. I just woke up. >.>

Same i am also reading the manga since chances for a sequel are sadly very slim so seeing that they wont adapt more volumes from the LN kinda really sux. Kinda makes me wonder what was the whole point of making a manga then if they wont even bother covering much, unless the manga sold so poorly and they decided it was a waste of money to make more and simply decided that its time to push the stop button Anime hyper

Well, someone on another forum speculated that since the tournament arc would take about four years to adapt on a monthly schedule, maybe they didn't want to commit to that because the novels might not even run for that long (they've been going for four years and a bit now and we have 13 volumes, so I guess that's a reasonable expectation.)

Since the LN is still going there might be a chance of more anime. But that really depends on how much of the LN the anime covered.

Well, they ARE a sort of advertisements for their respective source materials. Fully adapted ones like Spice & Wolf or The Sacred Blacksmith are exceptions to the rule, and even they omit a lot of material or even entire arcs from the source...

The only thing I remember was the hilarity of this and Asterisk having almost identical first episodes. Generic tropes are very tropey I guess.

They were really nothing alike past that though. I like Chivalry because it ditched the obvious harem route and established the two main characters as a strong couple really early. And that relationship gets REALLY put to the test by the end of the anime which did not finish with a huge fight in the expected sense. I was eager to see more by the end of it.

I would like that and that Sentai Filmworks makes it a simuldub. Let's say they did make a 24-episode second season that covers up to LN vol. 10. Luci Christian might feel a little awkward because spoiler[Ikki and Stella finally have sex in vol. 9. Heck, Ikki gets a more hands on approach with Stella's boobs.]
