Many thanks to Eleven Arts for remembering that Memphis exists. Surprised that Nashville and Little Rock didn't get any showings at all.

For some reason, I expected a somewhat wider release. Kinda bummed, I mean, San Francisco isnt too far, but no way am I willingly dealing with that traffic again. Guess I'll wait for the physical release to watch this again.

Yep, nowhere near me like I expected. Now I really am glad I preordered the UK bluray which will come in a week after this limited screening. Just make sure you have a multi region bluray player before you buy it, but it'll be very much worth it since it'll include a dub as well.

Just got my tickets. Would have been nice for it to have gotten a wider release, but I can't say I was expecting much in that regard from Eleven Arts.

Living in LA is awesome. Cool Well, for movies anyway...
Can't wait to see this! I've heard mixed reactions to it, but I really liked the manga so I think just seeing it with nice animation will be an enjoyable experience. I saw Your Name at the same theater and the viewer turnout was pretty good.

As I expected, there's not a single theater showing the film even an hour's drive from where I live.

Why must this happen for every great anime film that comes out (and just any anime film in general)?

No screenings in Arkansas. All we ever get are Ghibli films and Dragon Ball movies. Laughing

"Now coming to a theater nowhere near you, that movie you've been wanting to see for like a year and half..." Rolling Eyes

Well, there's always home video I guess.

I know that fell. I'm in Southern Indiana and closest showing is Columbus, Ohio, which is about a 4 hour drive. I went to New Albany for Ordinal Scale and Louisville for Evangelion 3.33. I was hoping those theaters would start getting anime more consistently, but I guess they're only getting the big movies.

Anime Limited in the UK is dubbing it right now, and it'll be included on the bluray like I said, which is releasing a week after this.
