Nice to see a confirmation on this. Personally, I'm pretty excited for this adaptation and they can even make it into a 2-cour.

YES YES YES this is such good news cos I just picked up on this series a few months ago, finished it, thinking to myself what an awesome series this would make and voila, anime kami-sama fulfilled my wish!!!

Great news.. But aside from some good action, there's also quite a bit of politics and exposition in the manga. Should be interesting to see how they are going to convey this to anime.

This manga is like Arslan Senki but focuses on political side and mc is the tactician long haired dude that travels with Arslan..

Actually, "Arabian" tends to refer to the horses or the Arabian Peninsula. Having not read the series yet but looked some of up, this series is of a fantasy Turkey. anime8manga.wordpress.com/2014/10/02/shoukoku-no-altair/ says it is specifically set between 1400-1600.
