Hiragana "nu" deserved to win, damn it.
That's by FAR the best hiragana character: basically draw a swirly spiral and it's close enough.
Oh sure, it gets made fun of by the other hiragana characters for not being used so much, and don't even get me started on those bastard katakana characters, but without hiragana "nu" how would you even negate verbs in an oldtimey-way, huh? Ever think of that?!

Seriously this poll was stupid. Who in the world would ever put fictional characters over money? Not even pokemon would have won that poll.
Good job Level 5, you managed to humiliate yourselves.

I think this is indicative of people having their priorities straight. Also, weirdly impressed that the company actually reported the results as truthfully as it appears they did; they could have just said one of their characters one. Who would have disputed it?

They should turn it into an episode of the anime. Would be hilarious... All the yokai could be super competitive about the poll and then the big reveal at the end is they all lose to money. Ha!
One of the good things about Yokai Watch is how irreverent it is.

I imagine the cash amounts are either puns or lucky numbers or something.

Well...It's hard to resist wanting to be rich...
At least I can take solace of Fubuki-hime making it in the rank.
