What a pain. I really liked that one. Good thing I've kept the fansubs around. I'll rip it out! Too bad I wasn't so cautious with Kodocha.

Most ending themes are pretty bland anyway.

While it is a little bit disappointing to hear, it could be worse.
At least the Japanese licensor is creating another ending theme to be used.
Besides, the original ED theme didn't really stick in my head, so I don't remember what I'm losing.

What's funny is, I was at Metrocon this weekend, and AnimeNation's booth had what appeared to be the first volume of Guu running on a little TV behind the counter, and the closing was fine and intact. I guess it could have been a fansub, though the translation was different from the episodes I've seen, and besides, it'd be kind of weird to have a liscencer playing fansubs like that.

I like that song and the Hokuto No Ken and City Hunter endings, but most of them are just filler for commercials.

As long as they keep the ending song to the Deluxe OVA, i'll be happy. That along with the Dragon Half song are among my favorite ending songs.
Still, it kinda sucks that they had to change the TV series ending song, but atleast it's the original people who are doing the new one. As long as it's not like Funimation turning the DBGT opening song into gawd awful rap, i'll be curious as to how it turns out.

I'm not really sure what you're implying here. Are you saying the ending themes are a substitute for commercials? Wha?

No, I'm saying they're usually there to keep you listening until the ad for the next episode or Japanese product. The good ending themes make you want to actually see the next episode and buy a cd/dvd.

Are they still keeping the visuals? Cause I kinda liked them in the ending.

Beh, I hate watching endings, especially if they are painfully long >_>

So, why wouldn't they just play the ad and skip the ending then? No waiting period required...
And the good ones, huh? Well, I haven't a clue as to what your criteria for "good" entails, but I for one enjoy a lot of ending themes.

Because most people can't fast forward their televisions, and if they could, I'm sure they'd skip the ads too.
