This will either be really great, or really horrible. Anyway, I'm gonna make sure to see it.

Freddie looked pretty bad in this, though I guess it can be understood.

This looks very good to me, too... my only problem might be Mechazawa.

I think the latter of being super cheesy BAD. And miscasting Freddy kills it.
I sometimes wondered if one became fluent in Japanese, was white & a decent actor that you'd have no problem finding work in Japan.

It's quite rare. Even so, the actor would have to talk slowly enough for the other cast members to be able to respond appropriately during the filming. There was an episode of the drama, Fugou Keiji which insinuates that.

Seeing Mechazawa almost made me choke on my morning Mentos. This looks pretty good. Then again I need to get more of the manga and anime.

I think what makes Cromartie great is the writing--Nonaka is a brilliant satirist. And we can't tell anything about the writing from that splash page. I'd like to see the feature for myself.

I don't know what to think... although seeing Mechazawa that way made me laugh my ass off.
