I can't wait for the news, The Guyver is one of my favorte Animes out of the 80s. The OVA ending did tick me off though.

Seven. Interesting to note, Chuang Yi has been publishing Guyver in English in Singapore with a new translation, complete with Takaya's new art from Kadokawa Comics' republished version and Zoanoid data files. They're currently up to volume five, but recently got the rights to go up to volume eight.

You rock. If those really ARE in english, I have to consider getting them. I can only hope the new Guyver project is a new TV series, starting from the beginning. If so, BRING ON GUYVER 3! Now, just give us a new Bastard!! anime, and I shall be pleased. |

I absolutely agree, but chances are it will just carry on from where it originally left off. We can always hope though! I've just spotted on the website c)2005 Guyver The Bioboosted Armor Film Partners. This brings me to think that it'll be a film now rather than a series. Does anybody think it'll be another live action or even a full CG based film? Personally I think it maybe a full CG based film since the use of CG recently in anime is quite popular. Plus I guess if they used CG it would be much easier to do the sort of stuff that is actually shown in Guyver series. |

Whoops. What a dumbass I am, not paying attention. Here's how to get those books: To get Chuang Yi Publishing titles: send email to [email protected] and request a title. Use paypal to pay and use airmail (7-14 day wait) or ground shipping (a month probably). Or you can get them from Popular. |

Flim partners would suggest a film, and maybe they'll go the cell-shading route, like the new Appleseed film. If it is a new TV series maybe they'll start from where they left off, the Manga was phenominally long, so it could start or continue from anywhere really... |

BTW, if any ADV reps read this, we'd really love for you to steal the Guyver manga license from Viz.

I don't think that Viz licensed anymore than the first seven, and I think that their licence on those is up next year. |

Cool. Let's hope ADV or someone else picks it up after it expires. |

Hey guys, check this out:
http://eg.nttpub.co.jp/news/20050331_06.html Yes, it's in Japanese, but a quick run through Google's translator shows that it is indeed a Japanese-American co-production and John Ledford was there (notice how he towers over the Japanese :D). Pretty awesome. Hopefully we'll get a real translation or some clear details later. FUN WITH TRANSLATORS: -"we would like to build up the battle action which is charm of the original in the picture whose quality is high. In addition, from we would like to do the dark part, to that you can sympathize" -"Original: The high house it is good the tree" |
