Im looking for a realistic anime. No Samurai's, No Witch Hunting, no Giant Robots, No Gun fighting, No Martial Arts, No Diffirent planets, No 2030 AD.
Just down to earth REALISM. An Anime which is able to make a story out of modern day life. Maybe something like the movie "The Terminal", not that im looking for an anime that is set in an airport or anything. Just an anime which is able to take the Present day and make a good story out of it.

Koi Kaze!!
Although the animation is crappy sometimes and the voice actors really could be better (imho) the series is a beatiful drama about a relationship between a man who finds out he has a little sister. The problem is, the guy is developng feelings for his sister... but not exactly a brother-sister kind of feeling. Watch it. Its a great show.

You can also try Kaze no yojimbo.

Check out Azumanga Daioh. It will have you laughing constantly. Its basically just about everyday life in the eyes of 6 school girls and their teachers.

I'm guessing you mean the "slice of life" genre then. Well, first & foremost, I have to recommend one of my all-time favourite anime, Maria-sama ga Miteru. Basically the day-to-day lives of the "student council" entity of an all-girls Catholic school in Japan. A bit on the slow side, but quite captivating.

Azumanga Daioh's another one that could fit in this category, I guess. Basically another "high school daily life" series, but this one's much more comedy-based. People either love it or hate it, and you'll be able to tell which one you are by the first episode.

Other recommendations that could be made are Aishiteru-ze Baby, Comic Party, Case Closed (Detective Conan), Great Teacher Onizuka, His & her Circumstance (Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou), Initial D, Kodomo no Omocha, KoiKaze, Marmalade Boy, You're Under Arrest!, & Golden Boy. All of those range from serious to funny, shoujo to really male-oriented, so a bit of research is probably in order to find the ones best suited to your tastes. But then ANN's Encyclopedia should do just fine in that respect. Very Happy

( thinking hard ) >,< your asking for somthing which my brain can't handle !!!!! .....

maybe detective conan ( case closed ) after all we do live in a world which is surrounded by crimes

OH wait ... maybe Good morning call , marmaled boy or Kodomo na moch * child's toy * will do the trick ( though all of them are shoujo )

Yes, but not a world in which we have discovered "The Fountain of Youth."

Maison Ikokku, Kare Kano, Only Yesterday, Whisper of the Heart, and Tokyo Godfathers should all be right up your alley. Millennium Actress, Perfect Blue, and Grave of the Fireflies also take place in the real world, but they're also all genre films, so I don't know if that's exactly what you're looking for. And if you can possibly tolerate occasional mentions of psychic powers in ways that don't affect the plot, Kimagure Orange Road is also recommended.

I highly recommend GTO.

It does a lot for me in terms of comedy and "slice of life." The comedy itself may seem a little out there for you at times, but the show still does a good job staying down to earth, what with the "life lessons" Onizuka teaches his students from time to time.

If you watch this, PLEASE watch it in Japanese. If you don't like subs, then at least turn them on when you watch the dub, since a few of the jokes were cut out and Westernized.

That's all I'll say for now. I don't feel like rambling... Smile.

The most realistic anime i've seen is definately Kimi Ga Nozo Eien/kiminozo/the enternity u wished for, its about 4 highschool bestfriends, and how a single event changed everyone's life, its very good, and extremely emotional.

You must check out Monster! It's about a doctor who saves a young childs life but he turns out to be much more than an average boy 9 years later. It's a mix of mystery and horror, I think the subs are up to about 20 now. It's a wonderful series.

Hello, theres a few moments in the anime that even I wish would happen in Real Life.

Of course, the manga goes even farther. spoiler[Like when he goes up against 100 punks at a club and arm wrestles them. And manages to off a mutant near the end.]
