Yes, Kodocha! I wanted to get Season 1 set before 2 (which was already released), so it all works out. It doesn't get much attention, but I never forgot about it! Not me, brudda!
and what does "revised" imply? Any changes to content? Or more like "revived"?

I'm guessing revised means a 2nd trailer, updating a previous one.
I'm liking ANN's trailers- it's pretty handy to have trailers for just about all the DVD releases out there in one place, and helps make purchases easier to decide, especially with stuff like older titles [I hadn't seen many of the older Media Blasters trailers before]

Yes, I agree!!
And why didn't FUNimation just do their own trailers instead of using the exact same trailers ADV had, for the titles FUNimation got from ADV

Yeah!! Kodomo no Omocha (Kodocha) RULES!!
I didn't forget it either!!
And for the "revised" trailers, FUNimation was being lazy and just used the exact same trailers as ADV when they had those shows, instead of making ones of their own (I've got nothing against FUNimation, but they could've made their own trailers, well at least they're keeping the dubs, which I enjoyed, especially Air Gear's dub !!

So, are there supposed to not be any subtitles for those, or am I experiencing some kind of problem? The Ergo Proxy and FSN ones both have the dialogue in Japanese with no apparent subtitles, and the Shana one has untranslated Japanese text.

IIRC Geneon had a habit of dumping the original Japanese trailers onto discs without translating them.

The "revised" trailers replace trailers that were already up. Some of them are simply the old ADV trailers with the logo replaced. (Given how many titles they're putting out, I'm sure it didn't make sense to remake all of them.)
I was told to use the Geneon trailers as-is. Which doesn't bother me any.

One thing that annoy's the hell out of me is when they release raw Japanese trailers without subtitling them as the official R1 trailer. It defeats the entire concept by having Japanese speech if the intended audiance for the trailer doesn't speak Japanese and nobody bothered with some simple translation. For examples see the Ergo Proxy and Fate/Stay Night trailers which coincidentially are heavily dialouge based, so you really miss out on some indications of what the story might be about. (I already know since I've seen and own those two but still...)
That's just really unprofessional and downright lazy and doesn't really reflect well on the US distributor here (Geneon first for initially making the decision not to sub them and Funi for not thinking to either).

Funimation has the rights for the Xenosaga anime? huh, I liked the game series, is the anime good? Well I guess the question is kinda pointless as the answer is relative to opinion and preferences, . . .but. . .
Anyway, good info. Seriously there's so much anime coming out (and already out) that I want to get. . . I can't afford it all! LOL

Yes, Xenosaga was one of the series ADV had and lost when it's partner company pulled out on them earlier this year. Funimation rescued the titles (Ah My Goddess 2, Devil May Cry, Kanon, Pumpkin Scissors, and Red Garden were some of the others).
I have Xenosaga, it's good I'd say, I didn't lose my time.

I completely agree with those who say anime trailers tend to be surprisingly worthless for helping us decide which anime to try next. For instance, I just watched the trailer for Elemental Gelade. Guess what I learned about the series and the storyline. Absolutely nothing. Flashy graphics, Japanese soundtrack, the end. For a site that has sometimes shown some minor hostility toward AMV's it's kind of ironic that they have no problem posting their own in the form of untranslated trailers.

I don't recall hearing anything, so ANN people, what the heck? Did someone back out of something last minute?
