For a few brief seconds there I was very excited until I saw "OVA" instead of "series".

well it does say that a "new anime project" is under work and that it will be posted before the first OVA DVD is release, that kinda gives me hope.

One would think that Viz is insane for not releasing the manga, especially since their Shonen Sunday imprint has hit North America and that FUNimation's release of the anime did really well.
Then you notice how long the Kenichi manga is. At least the Kenichi anime is continuing in some form or another. Though a full series would've been better. |

It is long and it will get longer as the years pass haha, seriously I don't see Matsuena ending it any time soon.. But c'mon the manga is seriously popular, the anime sold well so the reason I don't see Viz picking this up is because of the amount of fan-service it has... |

I really hope that bit about a new anime project means there are plans for a new season. I mean the manga has enough material for at least two to three season.

the more ovas that come out, the greater chance that funi get's these and actually dubs them.
