I know I will be. Her music is the best. I think she will do pretty good here in the US since she has quite a lot of fans.Who is getting it and how do you think she is going to do?

depends on how well she's promoted. i'll prolly buy her debut album, i hope it's good. it'd be neat if she became really popular. notice how there are NO asian musicians that are popular here...its sad

...depends on what you call popular.
PuffyAmiyumi ain't doin to bad.
DJ Krush
Asian Dub Foundation
Polysics
Coco Lee was popular for awhile.

Musicians worship the brilliance of Vanessa Mae and Yo-Yo Ma.

Also keep in mind that Tofu Reconrds (Sony) has started to domestically release popular music by L'Arc-en-Ciel, X Japan, and T.M. Revolution.

True its not much...but its getting there!

Wait, the album is coming Stateside? Schweet. I'll definitely have to check into it. I kept on replaying Kingdom Hearts just to see and hear the introduction to Kingdom Hearts, so it wouldn't hurt to give the artist a chance.

When I say popular, I mean she's doing really good already. Her album is coming out sometime in the fall. She's already been in like a million American magazines. I think she's going to do pretty good here in the US.

She even has her own American website right now for news. www.utada.com

Oh, she is going to be called Utada here in the US not her full name Utada Hikaru.

Oh Yay!!! More Utada news for you all.

I found out the album release date. It's October 5th, 2004. In Japan it'll be released a whole month earlier even though the album is all English. Japanese release date: September 8th.

All must buy this album. Spread the word. It's totally going to be original and something new that Americans have never heard of! Very Happy

Tofu Records also released Nami Tamaki's album "Greeting". Sorry, I'm such a huge Nami fan. She's so cute! So go buy Greeting! (Nami Tamaki sings two opening songs for Gundam Seed, Believe and Realize, and her newest single is coming out this month or next month I believe...)

Anyway, I'm definately getting Hikki's CD! I haven't actually bought an import yet (sigh), but eventually I want to buy Hikki's Japanese albums.

Well, not all of them, of course. But, yeah, she did do "Believe" and "Realize"! The first opening is "Invoke" and that's done by TM Revolution whose albums are also available from Tofu Records!

You can find those on her Deep River/Color CD set. If you have the cash, get it. Smile
