I recently recieved BATTLE ARENA TOSHINDEN UNCUT VERSION dvd -#usmd2224- (along with other anime dvds) from Right Stuf.

As I checked out the disc, I noticed that there was something that was missing, or most likely, cut from the movie.

Basing myself on the VHS and PC version (remember when CPM/SS released a few anime movies on cd-roms???), the movie began with a narrator talking about the tournament as the written words scrolled upwards. Then it was followed by quick pics of each Toshiden character which then led to the opening credits of the movie. This is how many remember how the movie begins.

However, in this `re-mastered' edition, instead of the movie beginning the way I just mentioned, the movie began with the `U.S. MANGA CORPS' logo then quickly to the opening credits of the movie. the entire `narrator/ character pictures' footage has been taken out!!!!

Now my question is: those who own this version of Toshinden, does your copy also begin like this or do you actually have the `narrator/ character pictures' footage at the beginning.

Did CPM screw up on the producing of this dvd or do I have a defective copy/ badly printed copy of the movie dvd?

Does the original release of Toshinden (from a few years ago) also contain the `narration/character' footage.

Or did CPM remove this beginning in the `re-mastered' edition? Id so, why did they do this?

Please let me know asap because I don't know if I should return this as defective to Right Stuf or to put blame on CPM for editing this movie.

PLEASE HELP!!

Don't worry!!! You're disc isn't defective or anything. It's on my copy too. Oh well, you have to stick with what you got.
