While I'm glad to see Sentai growing into a major company, I can't help but feel like they may be shooting themselves in the foot with all these super-fast title solicitations.
I mean, how are they going to be able to tell which shows suck or not if they keep licensing them before they even start airing?
Still, this show sounds interesting enough. And a BD release from Sentai means a dub, so that's another plus.

Wow. Sentai's on a roll. But they do need to stay put once in a while.

Ok it's great that they can license this... but bluray (thus dub) for this and not for Ano Natsu de Matteru??
Are they really that much more confident with this than Ano Natsu de Matteru?

I really hope Sentai isn't going overboard like they did back in teh ADV days. As long as they are not over extending themselves with this pick up in licenses we have seen as of late then great. But I just don't want to see another company go under.
@configspace
Yeah I was quite happy when I heard that Ano Natsu de Matteru got licensed but was disappointed when I saw it was gonna be a sub only release. Perhaps we can hope it gets a dub later on if it sells well enough but at least it's better then not getting it at all.

Yeah really. They did this last season and ended up with "gems" such as Majikoi Samurai Girls and Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere. *shudders*

I would imagine they are at least shown a pre-air version.
I think FUNi mentioned this a while back, that with early licenses, they only get an episodes or two to judge, so sometimes it's a big gamble.

Now, there's nothing that really screams "License me!" this season [Besides BRS], but what the heck is Funico doing? They haven't even announced any stream licenses for this season yet, and here Sentai is licensing up the entire freaking season. I do hope Sentai knows what they are getting into.

These shows they are licensing are right in line with past releases. They know what sells and what demographic they are reaching.

I really hope so. Except for a couple titles a while back, they have not done any re-release onto BD for anything else. It seems like the decisions are made early and they've stuck with them so far... Still, like you mentioned, maybe if Ano Natsu de Matteru is good enough and people just have to have it, regardless of sub-only or lack of BD, then maybe Sentai will reconsider.

Hey now!!! Some people actually like those shows
Haven't seen Horizon yet, but given how Sentai mentioned HOTD was a big hit for them (and likely Samurai Girls) I can see Majikoi doing very well. Still Inu x Boku SS is not one of those type of shows at all. If anything it would appeal to females more.

Glad to see Sentai license another show! ADV's shutdown mostly had to do with them being screwed over by their licensors (*cough*Sojitz*cough*), among other things. I'm sure they've learned their lesson and what they're getting themselves into. I'm personally glad to see shows licensed this quick! It's also great to see that they're dubbing more anime. Man, most of FUNi's recent releases have been re-releases, and the Houston/Seraphim Digital talent pool is actually getting more work right now than Dallas/FUNimation! What has the world come to?!
