Eh...Abenobashi didn't impress me. The first few episodes were funny, but by the second half the comedy was just flat & boring. Not to mention it did almost nothing to actually further the plot. Overall, the main story behind the series (which I actually preferred to the comedy once it kicked in) is really only solidly addressed in...perhaps four episodes total? The rest are allocated to recycling the same "MuneMune has a big chest!" gag twice into oblivion (which...really gets dull, and loses its appeal big time once you actually see her true self). And the change is like night & day, almost as if the series has to literally stop one aspect in order to carry on with the next; the comedy and the main plot don't mesh nearly as well as they did in, say, FLCL.
I know it sounds bad to say a thirteen episode TV series needed to be shorter...but it did. Leaving less room for overdone gags and actually working the jokes into the story a little more might have saved it.

True, the switch to reality and history was a bit jarring. I still liked the series, as knowing what was really going on doesn't hurt the series.

I loved the ep2 , ep 10-13 Ep 10 was best when they did parody of Terminator, Robocop (with nipplecar), Escape from New York, Indy and more . But all other eps were boring and not worth watching. And as for FLCL I highly recommend ep 5(the John Woo parody). All other eps suffer same fate like "Magical Shopping arcade".

Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu - I know it's been said before but it really, really needs to be licensed.
