i just can't get past how much this band rips off Dir En Grey. i mean don't get me wrong i don't like either band that much to begin with... but the resemblance is uncanny.

I've never heard them being compared to Dir en grey. Maybe they did sound like Deg before, but their recent releases kind of veer on the poppy side. They just sound generic now. Confused

You should check out the band Sadie. Their vocalist was definitely influenced by Kyo. Smile

Everyone is said to copy someone else. As long as the music is good, then thats all that matters. I like the ED to Romeo X Juliet so Im happy for them to be performing

So a band five years from now is playing today? Ha ha. BTW, Dir performs here in the Phoenix area tomorrow.

5 years? 12012 - 2007 = 10005. There from the really far future in that case. I definitely think that I wouldn't mind checking out this band live had it not been for the small problem of getting to AnimeNEXT.

I'm really excited about this. I love 12012 Anime hyper. I'm flying all the way from Canada to hear these guys play live.

Rips off? Resemblence is uncanny? For one, 12012 is Visual Kei. Dir en grey moved away from that style years ago, when they realized Kyo was ugly in any costume he was wearing. Laughing Keep in mind that there would be a much smaller Japanese music industry of no band got inspiration from another one. 12012 may sound similar to Deg, but the lyrics have totally different themes. Before you make bold statements like the one above, know what your talking about.
