Hey, Savage Genius and FictionJunctuin YUUKA are doing the OP and ED. That's a pretty cool combination.

And that taller girl reminds a lot of Revy from Black Lagoon..

Doesn't look like it. So please don't make your own "News thread" in its stead until an official announcement is made. Moving this to the Anime forum.

Well, I'm there. I'm a big fan of Bee Train and girls with guns/blades anime so I'll definitely give it a shot.

silly me; I spent close to an hour copying and pasting the plot synopsis into translation sites only to get nonsensical translations that made me say "huh?" and then I just looked it up in the encyclopedia and got a good plot description that was not poorly translated. Embarassed Definitely sounds like a relation to these two series' now that I can finally see what the plot is.

Well, I am also looking forward to this, since Noir is one of my favorites and I found Madlax to be quite good as well. I am actually pretty excited to see the western theme and how Bee-Train does this. Sadly though, it will probably be about year or longer before I get to see any of El Cazador since I don't do the fansub thing, but I'm pretty sure that ADV will be liscensing this since they have liscensed both Noir and Madlax.

This is one of several series I am really looking forward to this summer. Noir was so-so but I loved Madlax. I'm expecting it to fall somewhere in between the two. I'd hate to get my hopes up only to see them smashed and then, even if its only so-so, I won't be disappointed.

I found Bee Train's last works to both be enjoyable watches, though I do prefer Noir over Madlax (had a couple of quibbles with that one). So, I'll be checking out El Cazador after its licensed and released on the market. Hopefully, it'll be an interesting show to watch.

Interesting. I'll probably check it out. Would they really be a trilogy? I mean the only similarities are in the cast and credits, not in the story itself. There are some similar plot devices, (girls with guns, repeated flahbacks, loss of memory) but the plots themselves arent similar enough to be sequels or spin offs of each other.

Cool. I love Noir, and Madlax is pretty good. I'll definitely be checking this new series out. .hack//SIGN is one of my favorites as well.

I know Bee-Train for the .hack// franchicse and their latest US juggernaut Spider Riders, but this new series (haven't seen the site yet, but i hear its going to be better than 'Gunslinger) is going to be good, i've seen these kinds of shows before (i remember bonanza, great show, even though its not anime....) and they're alright.
lets see if they're going to make this at LEAST longer than the .hack// franchise's series runs (they're short, but good.)

Gunslinger is a different type of "Girls With Guns" show than Bee Train's are. They had nothing to do with Gunslinger Girl. Watch Noir and Madlax for an idea of what to expect from this series. Though .hack/Sign at least lets you know what kind of music to expect as Yuki Kajiur is involved with all of those series as well as this one. I loved the Madlax and Mai HiME/Otome music and I can't wait to here what she has in store for this series.

i'm the opposite on this, I loved Noir but felt Madlax wasn't as good. Both were great shows don't get me wrong, just liked Noir better myself. While the plot was a bit weak with .Hack//Sign I did enjoy the visuals. The music in it were also some of the best ever. That's one reason I loved Noir, the music in there was top notch. I really enjoyed the Italian Pieces on the OST. I have high hopes for El Cazador so i hope it won't be a let down.

I agree, Yuki's Music soundtracks are terrrific, she also did the sound track to Elemental Gelade and Kimagure Orange Road 2: Summer's Beginning

in my opinion, Yuki will probully go with a western/spanish-type soundtrack Smile

and true, Gunslinger girl has no relation to any of Bee Train's works what so ever, Gunslinger Girl was animated by Studio Gonzo, and the story of Gunslinger girl focused on a story of 5 girls who lost they're lives and are given second chances with humanoid/robotic parts.

Bee Train's animes however are about two mysteriouse girls with very different lives and later find out they are somehow connected to each other by finding a secrect artifact.

I'm not referancing GSG as Bee-Train's, i know the show was licenced by "Goku's slaves, Conan's companions, and AX's followers" Funimation, and created by Marvelous Entertaiment, the company in which i don't know any other anime they've realesed prior to GSG that i can referance to in the beginning of this sentence about MVE... but im not putting it as "made by B-T". i ment in genre wise, GSG and 'Cazador are Girls with Guns (not bangs!) anime. The only shows i mentioned that were owned by B-T are 'Riders and the .hack// franchise.
i still can't wait for the show, i should be great, now if only Newtype//USA can review the show, it would just make my day.

No, it wasn't. It was done by a much better studio. Wink
