Have anyone seen this anime before? I saw it when I was very young in my 5 -6 years and I think this anime is great love it soo much. I haven't watch the whole anime yet because I don't know where I can find it anymore anyway the eps that I have is great and I like it as much as I did when I was a child.

I love City Hunter. "Mokkori!!!" Cool It's right up there with many of the other classics of anime IMHO. Depending on where you are, though finding CH shouldn't be too much of a chore (in the US/Canada, for instance, the complete seasons are still available from ADV, and other nations may have similar deals, particularly in Asia).

I haven't seen any of the City Hunter animes but I am watching the latest TV incarnation related to it called Angel Heart. I never knew of the connection until I read this thread though.

The only thing I have against Angel Heart (and I haven't had a chance to see the TV series -- Instead I've read a couple of volumes of the manga) is that they spoiler[killed Kaori off]. But at least Houjou didn't turn the manga into a maudlin pity-fest with that... Ryu's still the horndog he always was and Glass Heart (thankfully) spoiler[has inherited Kaori's hammer skills along with Kaori's heart Laughing ]

The anime got off to a really excellent start but recently has become less about Glass Heart and more about solving cases, not that it's a bad thing. It also doesn't help the group that's subbing it takes forever. It's extremely well animated and looks great though and the storylines aren't bad, so I'll stick with it.

For those who don't know, there was a live action City Hunter movie starring Jackie Chan done a while back, it's really quite funny and well done, although not exactly like the anime series, it's close enough to make it worth finding.

City Hunter is a great series. The main character Ryo Saeba can be a super smooth and cool sweeper then turn into a complete perverted baboon. I own every episode from all the seasons and the movies. The movies are Dubbed unlike the series... though I found it hard to get used to Ryo's English voice, it was great. Later on they released a series called Angel Heart in which Kaori (Ryo's partner /love interest) passes away and her heart is donated to a young assasin called Glass Heart. I won't get into the whole story and be a spoiler.
If I'm still right about this they sell City Hunter bundle packs at The Right Stuf International. Give it a try.

City Gunter played during the same block as Orange Road when it first aired. I originally watched Orange Road since it was on before (after?) City Hunter but soon found myself liking Orange Road more. The first season of City Hunter felt darker and had more of a plot and character arc than the later sillier seasons. I haven't been able to really get into any Jump based series since these two titles since they do break the typical Shonen Jump formula in my opinion. By the time City Hunter 2 came out the series began resembling a Jump series.
