Real-Time Battles can offer some serious PVP possibilities, i just hope that we won't be locked in long animation otherwise i can already see the meta being "wait for the opponent move, avoid and counter" rinse & repeat. I've always wanted a Real-Time Battles Pokemon game that play like PS2 Zatch Bell game.

The more active battles look cool, but is the whole game just in the city with these selected "open zones"?
I worry it wont feel as open and varied as Legends Arceus felt.

I am hoping that it works due to the size of the city, being based on Paris there is plenty of real estate for wild different zones.
I think it could be very neat actually because pokemon environments are always shrunk, all the way back to the original buildings have been shrunk to fit them in the overworld map with bigger on the inside interiors. It makes sense because a realistically scaled city could cover an entire pokemon game almost and you don't want to make it feel less like adventuring across the country side, but that is part of why this spin off seems so unique!
This is a really neat opportunity to experience the city scaled to the player and not the open world map, so I am really excited to see what they do with that method.

It looks amazing!
But I don't understand the first partner choice : two from Johto and one from Teselia. I would have liked the third pokemon to be from another region, instead of two of the same one.

I kinda wish they hadn't shown AZ and his Floette in the trailer. That would have been a nice surprise to see that they were still around.
Going back the previous games with mega evolution, I'm seeing we'll see megas for Meganium, Feraligatr, and Emboar. I'm guess that's the route they'll go rather than giving them variants line we got in Legends Arceus.

It looks amazing but it's a little disappointing that Johto gets two starters.

I was also surprised when it registered that we got two gen 2 Pokemon, but I think it's to finish out the trio since Cyndaquil got one in Legends. The other one being Tepig means we could see Snivy, Litten, and Popplio in the next Legends game and end up with all 3 trios being completed.

I think AZ was shown to give us a place in the timeline for the game. People were all over the place for when this might happen and with AZ being with his Floette means it's clearly posts XY.
I REALLY hope they don't give them megas. Megas are such a cool mechanic, but the fact that it was used to breath new life into a ton of old Pokémon but now those same ones can't reach their full potential anymore has been a constant disappointment for me since Gen 8 came out. Champion might change this if it ends up as a place where you can use them, but even still I'd rather whatever cool stuff they give them be available in Gen X and I don't think megas will be.

Looking pretty cool!
With real time battle it feels like we're getting closer and closer to game-players getting to really feel like they're in the Pokemon anime.

The main characters are looking boring as hell. First violet/scarlet and now these nobodies, are pokemon not doing cute protagonists with good designs any more?

Seeing Tepig alongside Chikorita and Totodile makes me think of when Tracy joined Ash and Misty. Also kinda funny that in this scenario, both Brock and Cyndaquil have squinted eyes.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far. Tho, I am disappointed that we have two Johto starters but still, I can look pass that judging how fun and clean the game looks. Also, I've been a Chikorita defender since I was a kid, so it's time for it to shine a bit.

I mean, it was pretty obvious that it was just gonna be the city from the first trailer over a year ago. They pretty much spelled it out for us.

I respectfully disagree. I think they look pretty cool.

Considering the original Gen 6 started didn't even get Mega evolutions in their own game back then, I wouldn't hold my breath on this
It'd be super cool if they did since a Mega Feraligatr could go hard, and maybe Mega Meganium would finally let that Pokemon exist, but again, I wouldn't hold my breath they won't just get some other kind of form instead

While I am sincerely hoping we get much better and varied customization options this time around so I can run around in a spring dress or go full Serena again, I don't think these default outfits are bad at all. Pokemon used to go full femme with the female protags, which fit my wardrobe, but caused a lot of my friends to choose the guy. The shift to more gender-neutral or semi-masc fashion has thus been a nice shift, and customization was a great idea.
Bad customization stinks, though, and I am worried about that. SV are honestly just the worst games for customization because they required school uniforms, and those uniforms had to be androgenous or non-gendered or something? I hated everything about it. Choice of wardrobe is so important to me. XY was partially so impactful to me because of its introduction to customization. If this game fails me on that front, I think my interest in the franchise will wain even further...
