Oh wow, I didn't expect this series to get a 2nd season, it must have been well-received by international fans of the anime/manga for it to get that 2nd season. I need to check out the series when I have a chance.

I heard fans didn't really like it, but I guess it's nice to see Cat's Eye doing well, especially with the new anime on the way.

The first season was painful as french and Cat's Eye long time fan but that's the usual most of time with live action adaptation, i will still see it to the end. TF1 morning show's "Bonjour!" announced that filming will start this spring so maybe in summer 2026.

Yeah, I just went to check my Prime Video, and you're right the live-action Cat's Eye from France is not available in the US despite Amazon co-produced this. I don't know why, and it doesn't make sense to me for it to not be made available to US audiences.

There are many people wondering why the French live action "Cat's Eye" isn't available here in America. It might have something to do with the fact that it's little known here. It wouldn't matter if they had someone like Julie Delpy involved with it. It wouldn't make sense. It doesn't matter if it was produced by Amazon Prime. It's not as known here as it is in Europe.
It also wouldn't matter if they did an American version of this show set in the 1980's with a Japanese or French immigrant as a supporting character. The same problem would still remain. "Cat's Eye" came late to the U.S. It's not as well-known here as some other anime from that time. There simply isn't a reason for a show like this to come here. There isn't the audience for it in America, but I could be wrong. They could have an American version of "Cat's Eye" or "City Hunter" in development that we don't know about. Anything's possible.

But Snomaster, we already have the anime available in the US on blu-ray, and streaming (even the 1st season of the 80's anime is on Prime Video and all of the anime is on Youtube with English subtitles). So why would it matter if it's not well-known in the US, there's a lot of anime that are not well-known in the US but they still broadcast or release it in the US. There shouldn't be a problem making the live-action French Cat's Eye to be made available in the US on Prime Video when the anime is already available in the US already (well that and Amazon Prime is putting the 1st season of the original anime on Prime Video too). There are a lot of anime/manga that are not well-known in the US, but yet the live-action stuff can still be made available in the US regardless, so I don't know why Prime Video isn't making it available in the US when people in the US are watching live-action foreign-language stuff like Squid Game, or anything MHz Network/Choices offer on there.

How do you explain that???

By the way there is at least 3 seasons planned ( source : a french article from a trusted magazine saying that the actresses signed for at least 3 seasons https://www.programme-television.org/news/series/series-action/cat-s-eyes-tf1-on-a-assiste-au-tournage-hors-normes-a-paris-entre-cascades-blessures-et-sauts-dans-le-vide-4719931 )

An english dubbing might be announced soon in the coming London TV Screenings 2025.

Well,mdo7. I'm not saying it's impossible that there might be an American version of "Cat's Eye" someday, just unlikely. We only got the anime recently,so it might grow in popularity here. I don't know. It might eventually get an English dub one day if it really gets lucky, like the "Dirty Pair" TV series. The French version of it might become popular here as well, just like shows like "Squid Game." You just never know how things will turn out. We'll just have to wait and see.
As for you,Yune Amagiri,if what you say is true,we might get this show pretty soon with an English dub. I'm not sure if it'll pan out,so we'll just have to wait and see.
