Koichi Kimura

Per EmperorBrandon's post, all of the staff credits belong to Kouichi Motomura and need to be purged. Looks like the cast credit belongs to somebody else too according to the error report. The picture belongs to this Koichi Kimura, who doesn't seem to be involved with anime at all from what from I can read from his Wikipedia page. So I believe the picture and date of birth need to be purged as well.

I've done everything else, but I'd like some more information on this. Is there anything on the Koichi Kimura who created Joe vs. Joe, if he's a different person? I agree that it doesn't seem likely they are the same person (since the picture is of a theatre director, and I'm uncertain if he is an author on top of that), but I'd like to be more certain.

Looks like the anime is based off of a book by the same name first published in 2002 and the author is definitely 木村光一. Putting a couple of reviews on blogs through Google translate, it looks like this was the author's debut and they don't mention anything about him being a stage director before. The name seems to be a common one, so I think it's OK to assume they're two different people.

Well, it turns out I, who submitted the picture and place of birth for #16070, screwed up three different 木村光一: a math teacher (completely unrelated), a writer on fighting sports (the author of Futari no Joe), and a stage drama director (whose picture and PoB were mistakenly submitted). I've removed those incorrect submissions. Embarassed

A surprising find is that fighting sports writer also has translated a book by Ikki Kajiwara's Taiwanese mistress mourning their daughter, who was kidnapped and killed in 1997.
