This one falls pretty squarely in the "Painless way to pass some time" category for me. That could change a few degrees for better or worse depending on how the show handles the expanding cast of ninja girls promised in the OP, but I don't see it changing a whole lot.
Nothing against the show, but I Married My Classmate does a better job of the frantic pacing and rapid dialogue thing, and the action scenes aren't really action scenes. I don't dislike the characters or the lazy NEET angle, and I did get a few quiet smirks out of the whole thing. I guess might get tired of the show, but it's positioned in a really great slot as an appetizer while I'm waiting for Solo Leveling to come on, and there aren't a lot of new shows on Saturday that I'm interested in so far. |

Well I have to watch something on HiDive, might as well be this one. I hate to go through seasons without watching at least on HiDive anime, feel like I am wasting money.

@Zfunk I feel ya. I'm in the same boat paddling up the same river. Right now, my biggest hopes are on Flower and Asura. Art direction and music both seem awesome though the drama levels might be dangerously high.

Yeah sometimes there are obvious shows like Jellyfish Can't Swim, that I know I am going to like and that can be my HiDive fill, and since HiDive don't do simul-dubs, you get a two for when the dubs come out in a later season. And other seasons you are just searching.

I think that I would rather continue watching Beheneko than this if I am honest. I have plenty of issues with the former but atleast I have some interest in the setting and seeing a cute kitten kick ass is kind of fun. In the case of Kunoichi I am struggling to think of anything that I liked. The jokes did not land with me, the mc is barely a character, the two introduced ninjas are plain annoying and there is no story to speak of.
Supposedly today was a two parter and the regular episodes will be 15 minutes long. That may make it easier to stomach but even then I am truggling to see a hook of any kind. |

Episode 1 & 2
I really enjoyed these. As a wanna-be NEET himself, I guess I just naturally gravitate toward NEET characters and situations. There is nothing remarkable about the male protag other than his easy-going nature, but at least he isn't a tool or freaked out about having a chick in his place. I swear to God there is only one dude who does all the narration for comedy shows and his name, apparently, is Shigeru Chiba. I don't know if he actually has done a ton of narration, but his voice sounds like virtually every narrator in a comedy I've ever heard. Anyway, so far this is really working for me. |

That could have worked if the one ninja girl would have stopped screeching for a bit or if the other would stop....drooling.
That said, there are several more ninja girls to arrive so who knows what to expect. |

It probably bothered me more than it should when she threw on her loose top without changing out of her skin-tight outfit.

I see Fairouz Ai voiced Crazy Psycho Lesbian ninja Akane. I also saw a report this week she has reduced VA work having recently developed PTSD. Related...? I think I might develop that if I get much more of the Cringe-no-Jitsu done on me by this show...

That's part of what I meant by the action scenes are inaction scenes comment, along with the one slice fights. Which is fine, it doesn't have to be Demon Slayer or anything, I just meant, all the pressure is on the comedy and the sexy, and I wasn't finding it all that sexy either. But I didn't find the comedy annoying like some of y'all. It was alright if just alright. I don't mind the MC being kind of bland and lifeless because it goes with the scenario - he's a work drone who's slipped into a routine, lonely existence, which is why a lazy gatecrasher in sweatpants barely makes a blip on his radar personal space wise. In some ways, this show is the nega-verse version of shows like[i] Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included, and I get a quiet chuckle out of that. The screaming could get annoying, but being a short might work in the show's favor here. |

Seems like it greatly depends which ninja girls are in each episode for me enjoyment wise. Episode 3 was fine with Shizuri kind of stepping it up and Hina being a cute walking disaster. When Momochi arrives on the scene I suddenly feel the mysterious urge to skip the episode, which is why the 4th one was not my favorite to say the least.

... yeah, I see you skipped it. It's kind of important though. Those last two minutes changed the entire character... so to speak.
More of a reveal, I guess. "Crazy psycho lesbian". No, changed is right. Knowing what a kunoichi is, I now have lots of questions. And just checking.... "This "technique to utilize a woman" was employed for infiltration purposes when it was difficult for a man to infiltrate." No, I have plenty of questions. The kunoichi falling in love with their master is off limits. "Using" is ok though... |
