Black Lagoon still sells despite only shipping 1 volume every 2 years. Too bad that the post-anime arcs are a snoozefest.

To clarify, these aren't sales numbers or volume counts. Rather, these are listing the size of the First Printing of whatever volume number is listed. So it's saying that the 21st Volume of DB Super had an initial printing of 295,000 copies. That typically indicates how many copies they expect to sell upon release, while making sure there is a surplus to remain on shelves after the first rush. |

Big publishers are smart enough to not overprint established authors or series. 90% of those Kenshin volumes will sell through to stores or libraries. S1 of the anime was a hit and not much behind the numbers Bleach generated. Only in Japan...
Boruto didn´t make the top 15, lol. I know that international sales are where the bread is buttered in this case but I wonder if the collapse of the anime played a factor. Two Blue Snoozefest Vol 1 was released in early February so the renumbering gimmick might be too recent to be factored in but I don´t think so. The list cuts off in March. |

As opposed to support of Roman Polanksi, Mike Tyson, 2 PAC, Kobe Bryant etc. receive in the U.S and I could go on People everywhere seem to be quite willing to forgive people doing awful stuff... |

I don't have the hatred a lot of people have for Boruto, heck I even like the thing, but it doesn't bode well. I'm gonna have to spend the next couple weeks hearing "anime industry experts" tell me how this means Boruto is dead for the eleventeenth time. I am kinda shocked they're not printing more Frieren though, figured it would get at least a million for first printing. |
