From what I've heard, the way it's written makes it difficult to even translate and subtitle, much less dub. That would be awesome because I prefer dub but after 100 episodes and 3 movies since 2009, it's highly doubtful.

The chances that Aniplex will dub it... Less than 1% it seems. I mean, Brittany Lauda said that it would be extremely unlikely that reborn!, a straight forward and easily marketable title, will ever get a full dub. A very niche title like this has a very slim chance. Maybe one day, things might change.

The dialogue is over 50% wordplay in addition to about a billion puns, all of which only work in Japanese, and doesn't translate - it's enough of a nightmare to sub, let alone localize in a way that's timed to the animation.

Some series simply can't be dubbed without destroying their core nature - and the Monogatari franchise (and the majority of Nisioisin's works, really) is the poster child for that. After getting sufficiently proficient at Japanese, I noticed how much even the subs hurt the series, messing up a lot of the best parts of the dialogue (and I've watched all the various subs).

This is a series worth learning Japanese for. In fact, one of my motivations in learning written Japanese is to be able to read Nisioisin's books.

They might as well let AI dub it instead of hiring voice actors.

I disagree of using AI instead of voice actors.

Perhaps this will motivate Crunchyroll to FINALLY port over the final three episodes of Bakemonogatari. It's infuriating that the very first Monogatari series is only legally available in an incomplete form, especially as Crunchyroll keeps suggesting it to me as a series I might like. I don't know, 100% of a series seems better than 80% of it. And new viewers might want to actually see, you know, the entire foundational Hanekawa arc before continuing on with the series.

Also, if Shaft could follow this new series up with a third season of March Comes in Like a Lion we'd be living in about the best possible Anime Timeline.
