Looking around, the Epiphone brand is owned by Gibson but is intended to be a more budget conscious branding compared to the Gibson brand (Epiphone actually originated as an older company and brand later bought by Gibson). As such, most of their guitar manufacturing comes from a factory in Qingdao, China.
