Thank you for all the memories Kobayashi. I haven't watched Part 6 yet, but I'm sure the great Akio Otsuka is doing a great job as Jigen. Your contributions to anime and Lupin will not be forgotten. RIP

RIP. One of the most amazing runs on a single character, of course.

He maybe doesn’t hit quite the same cynically amused note, but he gets pretty close.
When I saw The Fuma Conspiracy, with its alternate cast for all the characters, I thought controversy aside everyone else sounded good, but their Jigen just wasn’t right.

RIP
I don't know why it is, but voices like his don't seem to exist anymore. He played these cool tough guys and villains so effortlessly. When these newer seiyu do these kind of voices, they often sound like they're trying too hard.

Rest In Peace man, no one could do Jigen's voice justice like you have. Thank you for making Lupin quite memorable.

I first really got to know his voice from Avdol in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Jubei in the Samurai Shodown games. And he's of course very memorable as the narrator for GaoGaiGar (I can always remember the way he said it!) All before I heard his most legendary role.
RIP to one of the greats
