I don't think so. I feel like this master 8 arc will be very pointless if Ash loses to Alain AGAIN

The way Pokemon Journeys brought back so many characters from previous seasons has led many to speculate that this may be the last series in which Ash will be the main character. I guess it's possible, but who knows, maybe we'll get more information near the release of Scarlet/Violet.
Speaking of Pokémon Journeys, a couple of days ago the Latin American fandom went crazy when the episode where Ash meets an alternate version of himself from another universe was leaked because that alternate version of Ash was voiced by his original voice actor, Gabriel Ramos, who stopped voicing him due to him moving to another country for work obligations during the final episodes of the Diamond and Pearl season.
