I’m friends with this kid’s mom. (She’s the frontwoman of the band Satellite Young.) Very proud of his accomplishments. At this point, he’s at least set for college!

Restarting the thread due to the general toxic nature of the previous thread. Please be reminded the number one rule here in the forums: It is to be polite.

I feel bad for the kids. What kind of parents would encourage their kids to do such immoral thing? Also, Toei keep getting worse.

"The face of the NFT art scene"
*profoundly ugly blobs of pixels*
Yeah, that sounds about right.

Imagine how much money Toei spent on this NFT thing they could have used to pay their animators.

Parents encouraging their child to draw, create, and supporting their passion is not a bad thing, in my opinion. Curious to see how this turns out

I think the issue is connecting their child's passion to a glorified Ponzi scheme.

Destroying the environment and participating in something rife with art theft is bad however. I have my sincere doubts a 9 year old kid fully understands the complexities of NFTs and what he agreed to sign his artwork over to be used and exploited.

Toei was always one of the more innovative and cutting edge studios out there. Not too surprising they're the first to try to capitalize on the NFT boom. The designs and art seems cute.
