His another well known role is Virgo Shaka from Saint Seiya series.
In 80s he was what Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, or Nobunaga Shimazaki are nowadays, but unfortunately, he didn't get as much exposure as seiyu are getting nowadays. Amazing voice actor. |

He's a legend in Japanese voice acting (he's known as the dub voice for Michael J. Fox over there). If you ever see him on shows her had a quirky, friendly manner that is good to watch. I hope he is about to receive appropriate treatment for the recent diagnosis that he has received.

Hopefully it was detected early on and is able to get treatment and make a recovery. Either way I hope he makes it through this.

It's been at least five years since my prostate cancer was diagnosed. We began treatment with a bout of "brachytherapy" where a surgeon places little pieces of radioactive material directly on the prostate. That worked well for a few years, but the disease came back. I'm now taking female hormones that have demolished the cancer at the loss of my libido. At 72 I can live with that trade-off.
